On September 5, 2025, the Junior Philippine Association of Management Accountants (JPAMA) of Ateneo de Davao University successfully hosted the Mindanao Certified Summit 2025: FMAA and CMA Fair. The one-day summit gathered accounting students and professionals across Mindanao to explore certification opportunities, gain industry insights, and participate in academic competitions.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Margie J. Clavano, Dean of the School of Business and Governance, emphasized the importance of preparing Mindanaoan students for global opportunities in management accounting. She also expressed gratitude to the event’s partners and sponsors for their support.
The summit featured professional talks from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA Philippines) and Insights Financial Review Services. Mark Jason Agacer, President of IMA Philippines, and Jayson Lu, Vice President of IMA Philippines, shared their expertise on the future of management accounting and the benefits of certifications such as CMA and FMAA. Edgardo Domingo Jr. of Insights discussed how certifications open global career opportunities for Mindanaoan students.
Participants also took part in the CMA and FMAA Quiz Bowl, an academic competition that tested their knowledge in accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and decision-making analysis. Contestants received discounts for CMA review programs, making the activity both competitive and practical.
Messages of support and encouragement were also delivered by representatives of partner institutions and sponsors, including the University of Mindanao–Tagum College, IMA Philippines, and Insights Financial Review Services.

The Mindanao Certified Summit 2025 is a student-led initiative by JPAMA–AdDU, held in partnership with universities, organizations, and sponsors. It was designed to equip students with resources, career insights, and access to certifications that will prepare them to become globally competitive management accountants.
